Nos valeurs

God

We worship God, Him alone, unique in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Creator of all things, he is holy, all-powerful, love, eternally alive.

We believe that God revealed Himself in history, first in the history of the people of Israel, and finally in His Son Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ announced by the prophets. It is this revelation presented to us by the Holy Scriptures.

Gen. 1:1 - Heb. 1:1-2 - John 1:1

The Holy Scripture

We believe that the Bible is divinely inspired.

The Holy Spirit has supremely presided over the origin and formation of the writings that compose it.

These Scriptures are, and they alone, the written Word of God.

Document of the covenant between God and His people (Old Testament), between God and the community of all those who accept the salvation offered in Christ (New Testament), this Word reveals to us the thought of God, His will and His love for the world.

It contains all that is necessary to lead us to the one who is our salvation, Jesus Christ, and to put our lives in the service of God.

It is the supreme reference for experiencing any belief, tradition and religious practice.

It holds its authority of God alone to govern the life of the believer and the Church.

2 Tim. 3:16 - 2 Pet. 1:21 - Gal. 1:6-8

Man, the fall and its consequences

We believe that God created man in his image. He created it free, holy and enjoying fellowship with himself.

At the instigation of Satan, the first man separated from God by conscious disobedience, thus losing his initial state.

For this act of disobedience, sin, with consequent death, entered the world.

The sinful nature has spread to all men.

The whole humanity, in its rupture with God, lives henceforth under the domination of the evil and incurs the judgment of God.

Gen. 3 - Rom. 3:23 - 2 Th. 1:8-10

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ, the only Son of God from all eternity, is the only mediator between God and men.

He came among men, fully human and fully God, his two natures remaining distinct in their perfect union in his person.

He taught us all that is necessary for our salvation.

He showed us, by his pure life of all sin and filled with the power and love of the Father, what is the holy life that God wants for us.

He accomplished the work of our redemption by giving his life on the cross, a living and perfect sacrifice, to erase our sins and reconcile us to God.

Risen and eternally alive with the Father, in his glory he is the Lord.

John 14:6 - Acts 4:12 - Phil. 2:9-11 - 1 Tim. 2:5

Salvation

We believe that, God having fulfilled in Jesus Christ His promises of salvation, the sinful man is called, under the action of the Holy Spirit, to repent of his sin, to turn to God, to accept, by the faith, the atoning work of Jesus Christ and to be united to him in his death and resurrection.

He thus receives, by the grace of God alone, the forgiveness of his sins.

Justified by faith in Jesus Christ, he now lives in a right relationship with God, that of a child before his Father. He was born to a new and eternal life and enters the Kingdom of God.

Faith necessarily produces works pleasing to God and a life ever more in accordance with His will.

John 3:16 - Rom. 5:1-11 - Eph. 2:8-9

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit, third person of the Trinity, makes alive, beneficial and effective, in the heart of man, the reality of salvation.

In this way, living the believer, the Holy Spirit leads him to glorify the Lord in a life of persevering prayer and fidelity to the truth of Scripture.

He is the guarantor of his eternal inheritance.

The Holy Spirit brings fruit to believers, enables them to discern the will of God and gives them the gifts necessary for edification, service to the church and witness in the world.

Rom. 12:6-8 - Eph. 1:13-14 – Gal. 5:22-23

Church

The Church is the people God gives Himself through Jesus Christ to celebrate the glory of His grace, to proclaim the good news of salvation and to be His witness among men through His works of justice, mercy, and reconciliation.

We believe that God instituted the ministries of the Word in order to make themselves known, to call sinful men to believe in Jesus Christ, thus to enter his people, and to grow in the Christian life.

Mat. 16:16-18 - 1 Pet. 2:9-10

Local Churches

We believe that a local church, constituted according to the Word of God, is a community of believers baptized on the profession of their faith.

Concrete and visible representation, where it is implanted, of the universal Church, body of Christ, it is independent of any authority other than that of Jesus Christ.

However, she can not live in isolation: fraternal bonds unite her to other churches in solidarity.

All members of the local church, associated in a voluntary commitment, implement, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and for the common good, the gifts they have received.

The churches also recognize the service that God entrusts to some of their members to exercise a particular charge according to what the New Testament teaches.

Acts 2:38-41 - Eph. 1:22 - Eph. 4:11 à 16 - Heb. 10:24-25

Baptism

We believe that, as Scripture teaches, the believer is called to publicly confess his faith by baptism.

Baptism manifests in a visible way the reality of God's work of salvation and the believer's union with Jesus Christ in his death and resurrection.

We believe that, according to the New Testament, baptism is given by immersion, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and is normally followed by admission to a local church.

Mat. 28:19-20 - Acts 2:38-41 - Rom. 6:3-5

The return of Jesus Christ, Our Hope

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will come from heaven as He ascended, for the renewal of all things and the full manifestation of the work of salvation.

All the dead will be resurrected, and each man will be accountable to God for his life. Those who will be found righteous in Christ will go to eternal life and others to eternal punishment.

God has promised a new heaven and a new earth. He will live with his people himself: that is what we expect.

John 3:36 – 2 Pet. 3:13 - Rev. 1:7-8
